Joey Tsai, Esq.

Joey Tsai was born in Taipei, Taiwan and immigrated to New York with his family at the age of five. He graduated college from the University of California, Berkeley and law school from Yeshiva University, Cardozo School of Law.  

After graduation, Joey worked at a prominent law firm for nearly five years representing the interests of individuals against large corporations.  Taking his knowledge and experience, Joey formed Tsai PLLC to provide clients with legal solutions through personal attorney-client relationships.  

Joey speaks Mandarin Chinese and is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.

Achievements

  • $18 million dollar combined verdict as part of trial team that represented plaintiffs against a major pharmaceutical company. 
  • Settlements in excess of $500,000 combined on behalf of plaintiffs that suffered injuries while taking an osteoporosis medication.
  • $100,000 settlement on behalf of a plaintiff that suffered injury from an eye care product.
  • Multiple settlements on behalf of female plaintiffs that suffered injuries from birth control medication.
  • Defended a group of Thai restaurants on wage and hour / unpaid overtime litigation.  Successfully litigated case and obtained settlement for 15 times below initial demand.
  • Successful resolution of State and Federal Department of Labor investigations regarding unpaid wages and overtime.
  • Multiple real estate transactions in the New York City region.
